Pulp fiction with snappy action, sex, drugs and violence. This is the first book I've read from Carl Hiaasen and the style reminded me a bit of Elmore Leonard for it's quirky characters and action. Every character is flawed and some of them are pretty odd, like Skink. I didn't loathe the villains nor did I like the heroes (loosely termed) as much as I would have liked, so it lacked tension as a result. Nonetheless, a fun snack of a read and I think I'll try another by Hiaasen sometime.
